With all the chaos and turmoil in this episode, you might need a drink or a seven. But since we're fresh out of bartenders, we brought along our extended fam DJ BlackShah, The Count, Jas Hands, and B. Fierce, better known as The Brown Liquor Report, to help us drink away the pain. So pour yourself something to drink and partake in our latest "Insecure" recap.

Episode 17: A Very Extraordinary Live Episode (Feat. Panama Jackson of VerySmartBrothas & Jas Hands)

In this episode, we chop it up with our big homie Panama Jackson of Very Smart Brothas and Jas Hands of The Brown Liquor Report for a very special (and our very first) live episode. Immediately following our first live event, "A Very Extraordinary Watch Party" at Johnny Pistolas in Washington DC, we hopped on the mic and got busy for the culture. The event itself sold out, so shout to everyone who came through and showed us love.

And a special shoutout to our sponsors. May all your days be long, moisturized, and fulfilling:

  • A.V. Perkins of AV Does What, for hooking us up with a few sets of her card game, University of Dope, the first card game dedicated to hip-hop culture.

  • Bolden USA, a brand built by Black women, dedicated to emboldening women to "confidently embrace their natural beauty" providing quality products that work well for women of color. They provided us with some beautiful products for our games and trivia at A Very Extraordinary Watch Party.
That Butter Mint shea oil is legendary.

  • The Royal Stitch by Melinda provides luxurious custom styled wigs to make every woman feel confident, beautiful, and unique. (Website coming soon!)
  • AMC Theatres, who made it rain movie tickets, and
  • The awesome person who made the open bar possible and chooses to remain anonymous.
